The famous Portugal striker Ronaldo believes his team is going to break the jinx this year with wining of the La Liga, after a great start in this season. No doubt, he feels that Real Madrid will be too much strong and tough for Atletico Madrid and Barcelno for the race to win the Liga title. Last time, in 2011-12, Madrid won the domestic crown and after that it has been playing second fiddle among its rivals.

But this year 2016-17, they have made a great start and was able to gain a lead on Atletico and Barca, which delighted Ronaldo. He said that he wanted to win all the given trophies of the tournament in which his team participates and this includes the La Liga. Also he told the reporters that the Liga title is what the team is looking at and the performance of the team is solid and great which ensures that there is a high probability in winning it.

Also, he felt that this year they started with a great wins and hope it continues in this way. Of course, the competition is long and tedious but he is sure that they would win this year. There are reports stating that Ronaldo is going to sign the renewal contract with Madrid and he hopes that for rest of his career, he can stay with the Santiago Bernabeu.

Plans’ Of Ronaldo

Currently, the 31 year old cannot think of being in another club for rest of his career. He enjoys his tenure with Real Madrid. Of course, it is one of the biggest club and all the fantastic players are there. His major plan is to continue moving forward and end his career with this team.

Also, Cristiano Ronaldo sought his team mates who played during the Portugal’s Euro 2016 and won. On Wednesday night, the winning squad at Santiago Bernabeu were present and Ronaldo made the beeline for the dressing room of the Sporting Lisbon, ensuring that he robbed them of getting the three major Champion League points.

For 89 minutes, Jorge Jesus had kept their shape against the tough team Real Madrid through the solid back four where the former defender of Liverpool Sebastain Coates was at his best. In addition, the defense was quite extraordinary as it was secured by Adrien Silva and William Carvalho, who were looked for by Ronaldo immediatley after the final whistle was blown.

After the game, Carvalho and Silva posed for photos along with Ronaldo, just like a rose among two thorns of the Real Madrid’s side. It was true that both players put in their best and didn’t deserve to lose. But it was the best game Ronaldo had done as he always does with his former club. Previously, two times he had bought down the club when he was in Manchester United uniform.

This awesome and record-breaking forward who is on the score card of his 94th Champions League goal and is on the route to touch the 100 barrier was pleased with his performance as well as his team’s. He admitted honestly in the post match conference that Real will make sure that it doesn’t put up with sloppy performance as the competition is progressing.

Is Ronaldo Planning For Barcelona Membership?

Figo, the Portugal legend had his share of misfortune when he moved from Blaugrana to Real Madrid, some decades back. He now feels that the recent winner of the Best Player in Europe can do the opposite. According to Luis Figo, there are chances that Barcelona could sign Cristiano Ronaldo if the release clause of the Real Madrid star is triggered.

In 2000, this Portugal legend has famously crossed the Clasico divide, especially when Real Madrid gave him £37.2m for his buyout clause which was a record fee for any player at that time. The similar aspect could happen today, according to Figo. Ronaldo was recently crowned as the best player of Europe, now for the second time. And there are reports that his buyout clause in the Madrid contract is somewhat worth €1.5 billion [£1.25bn]. Figo feels that the possible switch to Barcelona is not off the cards for the compatriot.

How Figo Made The Jump?

According to the statement given by him to Record, this is a free market. If any contract has a termination clause, then anything can occur. He gave the best example from his experience when he moved out of the Barcelona club, 15 years back. The major and foremost reason for his change in the club was the amount of recognition he got from the Real Madrid’s president.

Furthermore, things were getting pretty serious in terms of his career. As soon as he got the offer, he immediately reported it to the Barcelona heads, so that they could improve his current contractor.  Now when Figo returned back to the Camp Nou and replace his jersey with the Real Madrid, after the major infamous move, it was shocking for him.

He was greeted by the deafening sounds of the Barcelona fans. Many of them showed banners that had words written like ‘mercenary’ and ‘traitor.’ Even the response from the Barcelona fans was hostile. Being a regular corner kick taker, Figo just took two corner kicks as he was scared that fans near the touchline could attack and injure him.

The incident was even clearly remembered by the former Real Madrid defender Ivan Campo. He clearly recalls that night, as his team lost the Clasico 2-0 to the Barcelona club. Frankly, as Figo went back that night, it was incredible.  This was something that he never heard anything. Of course, Luis didn’t deserve that. No doubt he had given his best for Barcelona. And the best part was the how media showed the mass hatred, adding the built-up and headlines like ‘a traitor’s coming’.

It was sad that the Luis Figo was degraded, even though he was one of the greats in the field of soccer. That night was quite tragic for him and he was deeply hurt. His head was bowed and he must have really thought in his mind, that he had played for them last season and why they were quite irritated with his decision. But the players from both the team had a huge amount of admiration for him and praised his guts.

So, if Ronaldo is indeed going to make the move to Barcelona, then he can expect people to forget his achievements, goals and the aspects he took for bringing the club to the esteemed position.
